About Us
I'm Dodie Herrmann~~Dorothy Ann to my family. Let me tell you a little about myself. I am a 52 year old mother of six--three girls and three boys, five grown and one at home--and grandmother of five.
Oh, they all keep me busy. But two to four years ago they were all taking care of me, rather than me taking care of them. It was about that time that I realized I had MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivities). Since then I have been on a fairly rigid health program, and I have improved a great deal. I am glad to be able to be as busy as I once was, and feeling better than ever, but I am very limited in where I can go and what I can do. In fact, most of the writing and organizing of this website takes place while the family is out to dinner or at movies or somewhere else I can't be. For the most part, I have had to learn to live away from the public. It was very hard at first, for I am a real people-person, but I am learning to adjust.
My interest in natural living has grown over the past fifteen years or so, but really skyrocketed when my chemical sensitivities became so severe. For the longest time, I had no idea that there were natural alternatives to most of the products I was using. So I decided that I would try to make knowledge of these products available on a site devoted to furthering knowledge about MCS and natural living.
I hope that my experience with MCS may help others who are fighting to adjust, or help those who are trying to make changes for the benefit of a dear friend or loved one who has MCS. For more information, I invite you to my MCS Information Page or to read my MCS story.
